Time to start full scale marketing

We have spent almost one full month trying to understand the basics of digital marketing and related tools. Unfortunately, we have very little time at hand for learning and execution. Although, the tasks look very simple, you must have realized that it takes a lot of efforts to achieve any results in the practical situations. It is "1% inspiration and 99% perspiration". In spite of all challenges, SSY Pune and zCon teams have made good progress in last month.

This Saturday (9th April) we are not having our weekly session. Instead we will meet Monday (11th April) at 5:30pm (India)/ 8:00am(EST). We will review your project progress and understand to what extent of depths the digital marketing technologies have evolved. What really distinguishes Growth Hacking from the very simple digital marketing processes that you have learned.

We will have one more session next week on Saturday, 16th April, at 6pm(India)/8:30am(EST). This will be addressed by Shashikant More, an expert in this field and an entrepreneur, who has developed software tools for optimization of paid advertising, like AdWords. He is founder of Banhan.com and Karooya.com.

We will conclude on 23rd April, our training part with regular weekly meetings. But your projects that you have started working will continue for ever for future. Although, you could not have full scale campaigns completed leading upto actual revenue, you will be on track to get there on your own.

Going beyond email campaign

Going beyond email campaign

In the last 3 weeks, we have identified the marketing project ideas, identified our team members and roles, looked at the business model, identified MVP (minimum viable product), Customer segments etc. Then we started to prepare our first mail campaign. In preparation of the mail campaign, we started collecting data (email lists). Hopefully learned something about a professional marketing tool, "MailChimp". Some of us were successful in sending test mail messages through MailChimp test campaign.

Now we need to expand our marketing horizon. For digital marketing, your email message is just to attract the prospect to your real marketing message which will be on your website with full details. All details about your product can not be given in the email message. Nobody has time to read very long messages. Therefore, the email should be very short and must direct those interested in knowing more to go to your most informative website.

Building your website is some effort and some expense as well. But to do the same job real quick with no expense, you can create a blog site. Blog is also a website but you may not own the domain where it is published. Building a blog is comparatively, very easy. Anyone with little technical aptitude can build a blog within hours.

This Saturday, 26th, we will review some features of blogging. Following week, you will create a blog for your marketing project.

Next, it is very important that you are able to measure how successful are your marketing efforts. For this purpose, you need to know how many prospects visited your site, how many downloaded your product literature and how many gave their email contacts to receive your communication in future.

To get such analytical measures, we need to set up Google Analytics or such similar tools. Santosh Pandagale, our digital marketing expert, will explain on Saturday, 26th, how to set up Google Analytics and analyse the data generated. You will need this data to fill in your weekly marketing report, for which already a template is emailed to you today.
